2013 begins...criss crossing across all over

the New year began on a great hectic note as i traveled for high profile weddings (including  Bollywood designer Simone Khambatta & actor Karan Panthaky) as well as corporates across various locations- the high point??? definitely Afro dancing and hip swinging with the African descent Jalari tribals in Vizag known as the real voodoo dancers- with a real python........

The BIGGEST wedding in India...and I anchored

As I anchored THE wedding of the year with Narendra Modi, Sushil Kumar Shinde, Sharad Pawar, Ambani Brothers, Anand Mahindra, Uday Kotak, Praful Patel, Shahnawaz Hussein, Vijay Mallaya, Rajat Sharma and countless other politicians & industry leaders- i realized a few things:
1) The wedding Family Adani Group (ports/power/SEZ/shipping) & Shroffs (the most powerful as per Forbes list) could have hired any starlet, miss India to anchor their MOST high profile evening- instead they chose me- not 5ft8inches tall and no stats for a model.
2) They chose to fly me down to Mumbai for Sangeet rehearsals (and compensated me for my time) instead of choosing a local anchor which could've made their life far more easier- But they overlooked it and stuck with me.
3) As I held the stage for straight 2.5 hours and delivered a Flawless show- what matters is how WELL u speak, can u deliver spice/ humour/ grace/ elegance- depending upon the need of the hour and the profile of the crowd.
4) My ethic- Work with event managers who value their family and they will value you for your talent and your ethics. if u find it hard, don't change your profession, change the kind of people you work with.
5) In my humble shoes- i have walked many coveted carpets that many others wearing much more expensive shoes than me will NEVER walk in a lifetime and thank god for that opportunity.
6) If u are still reading this- THANK YOU- but remember, your victory lies not on that stage and that glittering audience- it lies back home with people who sleep with their mobile phones next to their pillow- so that u can call them at 1 AM and tell them that u are back in your hotel room safely.
thank u for taking time to read my thoughts-some candid shots are enclosed.
